JK's Strong Criticism Of The Complexity Of COVID-19 Vaccine Administration: In Other Country People Come Directly Injected

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Jusuf Kalla (JK) criticized the administrative complexities implemented by the government, especially the Ministry of Health, regarding the public to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The 10th and 12th Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia have conveyed to the Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin not to complicate the public getting vaccines so that they can accelerate the national vaccination program.

"I have conveyed to the Minister (Budi Gunadi Sadikin) that the delay in the COVID-19 vaccination was because the administration was too complicated," said JK when reviewing the COVID-19 vaccination at the Nindya Karya Building, Jakarta, reported by Antara, Sunday, August 29.

JK asked Budi Gunadi to refer to several countries that make it easier for their citizens to get the COVID-19 vaccine by only carrying an identity card.

"Take a look abroad, people just have to come, bring the card and it will be injected directly. If we have to register online first, then check, then recap, then call. It takes time," said JK.

The complexity of the registration administration, continued JK, has caused delays in COVID-19 vaccination in Indonesia.

The government targets to inject 1,000,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine per day. But the realization of the achievement is only half or about 500,000 doses per day, he said.

Therefore, JK asked the government to create a simple and easy COVID-19 vaccine registration system, without having to include many requirements.

This convenience will not lead to fraud committed by the public to get the COVID-19 vaccine, said JK.

To get the COVID-19 vaccine, the public is asked to register on the caringlindungi.id page to get a vaccine ticket. Furthermore, the vaccine ticket must be included when the public registers to be injected with the COVID-19 vaccine.
