Kabaharkam Asks NTB Police To Develop World Superbike Security Concept At Mandalika Circuit

MATARAM - The National Police's Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam) asked the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police to develop a security concept for the 2021 World Superbike Championship (WSBK) event, at the Mandalika Circuit, Kuta, Central Lombok Regency, to be focused and professional.

"I have directed the NTB Police Chief to draw up a really focused and professional concept for securing this super-priority tourist attraction," said the Head of the National Police's Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam) Commissioner-General Arief Sulistyanto, on the sidelines of a review of the infrastructure readiness of the Mandalika Circuit for WSBK 2021, in Central Lombok quoted by Antara, Saturday, August 28.

The review was also attended by the NTB Police Chief M Iqbal, Managing Director of The Mandalika Bram Subiandoro, and his staff from the management of the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK), PT Indonesia Tourism Development (Persero), or Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC).

Kabaharkam also asked that the security concept that was made in a representative manner could be implemented a month before this world racing event was held on November 12-14, 2021.

"A month before it is implemented, it must be prepared so that it can support the smooth activities there (Mandalika Circuit)," he said.

The Managing Director of The Mandalika, Bram Subiandoro, said that the circuit work is almost complete.

A number of problems that are being faced have found the right solution.

"Overall, the problems that arise can be resolved thanks to the support of the NTB Police and the ranks," said Bram.

Commissioner-General Arief also appreciated the NTB Regional Police Chief and his staff for helping the government resolve all problems on the circuit, from disputes to initiating settlement solutions for local residents.
