Head of the Depok Kejari Intelligence Section, Herlangga Wisnu Murdianto, said that the Depok Kejari Public Prosecutor (JPU) had received the surrender of the suspect and evidence from police investigators. The suspect will then be detained for the next 20 days.

"Today the Depok District Attorney has accepted the surrender of the suspect along with evidence on behalf of Adam Ibrahim alias Adam. The suspect is suspected of violating Article 14 Paragraph (1) with a maximum penalty of 10 years or both, Article 14 Paragraph (2) with a maximum threat of 3 years. years in prison for the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 1 of 1946 regarding criminal law regulations," Herlangga told reporters, Thursday, August 26.

Previously, the Depok City Metro Police arrested the perpetrators of spreading false news or hoaxes about the pigs that had stirred the residents of Bedahan, Sawangan. The perpetrator turned out to be an ustaz aka a community leader named Adam Ibrahim.

"We convey that everything that has gone viral from before is a hoax, it's fake news," said Depok City Police Chief Kombes Pol Imran Siregar during a press conference, some time ago.

The police chief said that Ibrahim collaborated with eight of his colleagues to raise the issue of the existence of suckling pigs. The idea was sparked when Ibrahim learned that several local residents had lost money.
