Sahbirin Noor-Muhidin Inaugurated As Governor-Deputy Governor Of South Kalimantan At The Palace Tomorrow

BANJARMASIN - Sahbirin Noor and H Muhiddin are scheduled to be sworn in at the State Palace by President Joko Widodo, Wednesday, August 25 tomorrow as Governor and Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan for the period 2021-2024.

The certainty of the inauguration of the Governor and Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan after Regional Secretary Roy Rizali Anwar and related officials attended a limited meeting with the State Secretariat and Palace Protocol, virtually in Banjarbaru.

According to Roy, based on the results of the meeting, the inauguration ceremony will begin with a rehearsal procession by the palace protocol, which is scheduled at around 11.30 WIB.

"God willing, if there are no obstacles, the inauguration of the elected Governor and Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan will be held at the State Palace on Wednesday," Roy said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 25.

Accompanied by the Acting Head of the Administrative Bureau for the South Kalimantan Regional Secretariat, R Suria F, the Regional Secretary said, according to the schedule that had been submitted during the meeting, the Governor and Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan would be sworn in by Indonesian President Joko Widodo at around 13.30 WIB.

Regarding officials or parties who accompanied the inauguration, Roy said that there had been an official procedure from the palace.

"What is clear is that the inauguration applies strict health protocols and with a limited number of invitees," he said.

Previously, the General Election Commission (KPU) of South Kalimantan determined the pair of candidates for governor and deputy governor serial number 01 H Sahbirin Noor and H Muhidin (BirinMU) to be elected in the 2020 South Kalimantan Regional Election (Pilkada).

The determination of the selected pair for the South Kalimantan Regional Election after the re-voting (PSU) of the results of the Constitutional Court (MK) decision was stated in a plenary meeting held by the South Kalimantan KPU at the Golden Tulip Hotel Banjarmasin, Wednesday.

"Today, we legally determine the pair of candidates for governor and deputy governor serial number 01, H Sahbirin Noor and H Muhidin to be elected in the 2020 South Kalimantan elections," said South Kalimantan KPU chairman Sarmuji after the plenary meeting.
