SEMARANG - The Central Java Regional Police received 24 complaints of alleged online loan fraud by people who were in debt to the point of swelling.
The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Iqbal Alqudusy, said the complaints were still in the deepening stage.
"It's still being investigated from a legal perspective", he said, quoted by Antara, Monday, August 23.
According to him, the phenomenon of fraud with the online loan mode is quite widespread, causing the victims to be trapped in piles of debt.
He appealed to the public to be more careful before using this online loan service.
