Vaccination Rate For Junior-High School Students Or The Equivalent In Cianjur Is Only 2 Percent, The Village Task Force And RT Involved

CIANJUR - The Cianjur Health Office, West Java, noted that only 2 percent of the vaccinations for school-age children in the area or 4,000 people out of the target of 200 thousand students at the junior-high-school level or the equivalent were vaccinated.

The spokesperson for the Cianjur COVID-19 Information and Coordination Center, Dr. Yusman Faisal, said that vaccination for school-age children is still low. Need coordination between agencies to pursue targets ahead of face-to-face learning (PTM).

"We also involve the education office to the office coordinator in each sub-district, so that the target of 200 thousand students in Cianjur has received vaccinations, so that PTM can be held safely and comfortably without doubting the occurrence of school clusters," he said when contacted in Cianjur, Antara, Sunday, August 22.

In addition to cross-agency, his party also involved the village task force to the RT to carry out socialization and hold special mass vaccinations for school-age at village halls and existing health centers.

Including, he said, involving the police and Koramil in increasing students' interest in getting vaccinated in various areas in Cianjur.

"Including applying for a permit accompanied by a recommendation from the local task force, only schools that meet the requirements can hold PTM. However, an evaluation will be carried out later, if a case occurs, PTM in schools will be stopped again," said Yusman.

Cianjur Regent Herman Suherman said PTM in Cianjur would be held after task forces in each region conducted a feasibility assessment, such as temporary isolation rooms, places for washing hands, located in the yellow and green zones and all teachers had received vaccinations.

"Regarding that, there are still many students who have not received vaccinations, we are making quick efforts by involving various groups including sub-districts and villages. So that when PTM is held it does not cause an increase in cases, we hope the PTM plan can run smoothly because of the pity for the students," he said.
