TNI Ensures 2 Soldiers Persecuting Minors Are Legally Processed

JAKARTA - The TNI AD leadership has confirmed that two soldiers from Kodim 1627/Rote Ndao with the initials Serma MSB Babinsa Ramil 1627-03/Batutua and Serka AODK Batiminpers will be legally processed.

Serma MSB and Sergeant AODK committed a criminal offense against Petrus Seuk (13) a resident of Metina Village, Lobalain District, East Nusa Tenggara who was suspected of stealing the cellphone of Sergeant AODK.

The certainty of the legal process against the soldiers with the initials MSB and AODK was confirmed by the Head of the Army Information Service (Kadispenad) Brigadier General Tatang Subarna in his written press statement, Saturday, August 21 at Madispenad, Central Jakarta.

It was explained, according to the order of Kasad General TNI Andika Perkasa to relevant TNI AD officials, to continue to investigate and proceed legally against unscrupulous members of the TNI AD who committed this crime of child abuse.

Tatang also emphasized that the TNI AD will continue to uphold its commitment to any individual soldiers who commit violations.

"There is no other word than the legal process for any soldiers who violate," said Tatang.

He also said he would push for a post-mortem to the victim at the largest hospital in Rote Ndao as additional evidence.
