Reminds The Union For The Sake Of Indonesia Gold 2045, PAN Chairman: Don't Fight Again, Sad There's A 'Cebong-Kampret'

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan reminded the Indonesian people not to be divided by the politics of fighting each other between the nation's children. Like after the last general election, there was the entrenchment of the 'Cebong - Kampret' group on social media.

Zulhas, as he is known, invites all children of the nation to work together to build national unity and integrity in order to achieve the ideals of a Golden Indonesia in 2045.

"Recently, we see that differences are being sharpened, political thoughts are poisoned by electoral logic which tends to justify all means, including promoting identity politics (SARA)," said Zulkifli Hasan in a national speech commemorating the 50th anniversary of CSIS Indonesia, Thursday, August 19.

According to the former chairman of the MPR, there are certain parties who want Indonesia to always be busy with the issue of a pluralistic national identity. One of them is through the issue of SARA.

"SARA politics, identity politics. Differences in faith are being questioned again, tribalism is strengthened, the Chinese-Indigenous discourse is reappeared, the minority majority is clashed, 'I am Pancasila' is contrasted with 'You are not Pancasila'. Cebong vs Kampret, Buzzer vs Kadrun," he said.

"It's sad that we see the current conditions," continued Zulhas.

Zulhas assessed that the condition of Indonesia, which is often plagued by issues of fighting against each other, is a step backwards for the nation, back before the era of independence.

"Even though we have been independent for 76 years, why should we step back again? What has happened in our country recently. Therefore, I invite all parties to reaffirm, let's reaffirm our national promise again," he concluded.
