Open When PSBB Transition, Spa And Karoke Places In Jakarta Are Sealed

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) found that there were eight business establishments that violated operational protocols during the transitional PSBB period.

Head of DKI Jakarta Disparekraf Cucu Ahmad Kurnia said the places of business that violated the violations included 4 restaurants, 2 karaoke places, and 2 spas. Due to violation, the eight business premises will be temporarily sealed.

"We made an examination report, there is a management signature as well. Then, we wrote to Satpol PP to seal it and impose a fine," said Cucu when met at the DPRD DKI Building, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, June 23.

As for the violations found, the 4 restaurants held live music events such as live music and disc jockeys (DJs). In fact, during the transitional PSBB period, restaurants were not allowed to hold such activities.

Meanwhile, spas and karaoke places were declared to have violated because the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government had not allowed the business sector to operate before the PSBB transition evaluation until the end of June.

"The businesses that violate these are in Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta and Central Jakarta," said Cucu.

Cucu said that his party did not immediately provide a letter of recommendation for closure. Initially, the Tourism Office gave a written warning.

"We were persuasive at first. We reprimanded the stubborn ones. Then, we'll see again the next day. If we are still stubborn, we ask Satpol PP to take action," he said.

For information, during the transitional PSBB period, there were a number of business sectors and activities that had not yet been decided to open. This activity will only be opened during the phase two transition period, after the DKI Provincial Government has reviewed the PSBB during the first phase of the transition.

These activities are religious activities with mass gatherings, schools, gyms, swimming pools, night markets, folk festivals, beauty clinics, salons, conference halls, wedding and circumcision receptions, cinemas, night entertainment, boutiques, and the like.
