ACEH - The SAR team is looking for a seven-year-old child who was reported missing after being swept away by the current and drowned while swimming at Lampuuk Beach, Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar District.

Head of the Banda Aceh National SAR Agency, Budiono, said the NA victim was a resident of Medan City, North Sumatra.

"The victim was reported missing while bathing in the sea with her family. The victim was swept away by the current after a big wave and drowned, then disappeared", said Budiono in Banda Aceh, Antara, Monday, August 16.

Budiono said that the Banda Aceh Basarnas personnel received information about the missing person from members of the Lhoknga Police, Aceh Besar District.

"Based on this information, the Banda Aceh Basarnas dispatched a search and rescue team to the scene of the incident along with search equipment", Budiono said.

Search and rescue also involved other potential SARs such as the police, members of the TNI from the Lhoknga Koramil, Aceh Besar Regional Disaster Management Agency, radio communities, and the public.
