Head Of COVID-19 Task Force Asks Residents To Obey Health Protocols, Keep Wearing Masks After Vaccination

JAKARTA - The head of the Task Force for Handling COVID-19, Lt. Gen. Ganip Warsito, has asked people who have received the vaccine to consistently apply health protocols. The process is like wearing a mask, keeping a distance, and washing hands with soap.

"After being vaccinated, you must continue to wear a mask," said Ganip, quoted by Antara, Saturday, August 14.

In addition to vaccination, the implementation of health protocols is also a major component in order to cut off the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19.

The head of the Task Force reviewed the implementation of the acceleration of vaccination at the Pakansari Stadium, Bogor, West Java, today.

In the vaccination review conducted with the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marvest) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin and the Regent of Bogor Regency Ade Yasin, the Head of the Task Force also advised all elements of the organizers from the Dandim, the Head of Police and the Regent and their ranks to keep the distance between participants to avoid crowds.

"I remind the organizers, the Dandim, the Head of the Resort Police and the Regent to pay attention to the health protocols to keep their distance and then arrange so that there are no crowds," said Ganip.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan in his direction hoped that all levels of the Bogor Regency government would continue to encourage the implementation of vaccinations with a target number of up to 100 thousand per day.

To fulfill this achievement, Luhut also gave directions for the Bogor Regency Government to immediately coordinate with the Ministry of Health regarding the supply of vaccines, additional vaccinators, and other necessary needs.

"After next week we should be able to approach 100 thousand per day. The vaccine from the Minister of Health is no problem," said Luhut.

Based on data from the Bogor Regency Government as of Saturday, August 14, the implementation of the first dose of vaccination has reached 626,016 or 14.81 percent.

The second dose of vaccine has been given to as many as 304,382 or has reached 7.20 percent. Then the third dose of vaccine was given to 365 people or 2.78 percent.

In addition, Luhut also asked the Bogor Regency government to encourage people exposed to COVID-19 to undergo self-isolation in a centralized isolation area (isoter).
