Vehicle Volume On Puncak Increases On Weekends

BOGOR - The Bogor Police Traffic Unit noted an increase in the volume of vehicles by up to 30 percent on the Puncak Line, Bogor Regency, West Java on weekend holidays.

"Vehicles leading to the top have increased due to the weekend. There has been an increase of around 20 to 30 percent, mostly from Jakarta and Bogor," said Head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, Second inspector Angga Nugraha at Simpang Gadog, Ciawi, Bogor, quoted by Antara, Saturday, August 14.

Even so, the police together with the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force continue to conduct isolation by checking a number of motorists who want to enter the Puncak Route, Bogor.

"However, we will continue to check the letter of negative test results based on PCR and antigen, if we cannot show the vehicle will be turned back," said Angga.

The reason is that the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force divides the focus of supervision on the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in three rings, namely urban areas, tourist attractions, and border routes.

Specifically for border control, it is carried out at eight points, namely Jasinga on the border with Lebak, in Parungpanjang on the border with Tangerang, in Parung on the border with Depok, in Gunungputri on the border with Bekasi.

In Cileungsi it borders with Bekasi, in Cibinong it borders with Depok, in Cigombong it borders with Sukabumi, and at Simpang Gadog from the direction of Jakarta.

Then, urban surveillance was carried out by closing a number of main roads around Cibinong and Sentul, namely Cikempong-Pakansari Stadium street and Simpang Sentul-Pakansari Stadium street. Both roads are closed from 20.00 western Indonesia time - 04.00 western Indonesia time.

Supervision of tourism places is carried out by the COVID-19 Handling Task Force to the village level, to ensure that all tourist attractions in remote villages are closed.
