Ministry Of Health Increases Vaccine Stock Of 1.5 Million Doses For Lampung

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for the Economy (Coordinating Minister for the Economy) Airlangga Hartarto said the government is committed to providing an additional 1.5 million doses of vaccine for the province of Lampung.

"The government through the Ministry of Health has committed to the Lampung Provincial Government to provide additional vaccines of approximately 1.5 million doses," said Airlangga, in Bandarlampung, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 13.

The central government will soon add a COVID-19 vaccine as requested by the Governor of Lampung Arinal Djunaidi.

Coordinating Minister Airlangga Hartarto also conveyed several directives from President Joko Widodo regarding preventing the mobility of people, then activities in the retail sector and so on.

Airlangga Hartarto also emphasized the importance of implementing 3M, especially the use of masks. "According to the President's directives, at least the use of masks must be tightened," he said again.

He has also visited the command post in Negara Ratu Village, Natar, South Lampung Regency.

According to him, there has been explained by health workers and babinsa regarding tracing.

"So if someone gets hit, tracking is carried out to another place and then tested too, so it's very good," he said.

Regarding centralized isolation, Airlangga said that the President had prepared a Pelni ship and the financing had been paid by the central government, so the regions only had to prepare health workers.

"I see that Lampung has a Panjang Port, so it is very possible to do centralized isolation, just prepare health workers, if there are none, we will prepare them, so the government just accepts clean, free of charge," he said.

Airlangga again stated that the President's directives regarding the handling of COVID-19 in Lampung still need to be suppressed, namely prevention of mobility, the use of masks, testing and tracing, and finally vaccination, and of course economic recovery.

During his visit, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto handed over assistance in the form of 409 oxygen concentrators, the use of which will be distributed to hospitals in 15 regencies/cities in Lampung.
