COVID-19 Update As Of August 11: New Cases 30,625, Recovered 39,931

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. The cumulative total of cases stands at 3,749,446 since the first cases were announced on March 2. Meanwhile, new cases per day reached 30,625 people.

Meanwhile, the number of recovered cases today increased by 39,931 people, bringing the total to 3,211,078 recoveries. Meanwhile, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 1,579 people and a total of 112,198 people.

Meanwhile, the province with the newest cases was Central Java with 4,980 new cases and a total of 133,411. Followed by West Java with 3,174 new cases and a total of 646,741 cases. Then, East Java had 2,885 new cases and a total of 345,742.

Then, DKI Jakarta with the addition of 1,957 new cases, and the total cases reached 835,609. Then, in East Kalimantan 1843 and the total cases were 135,669. Furthermore, DI Yogyakarta with 1,510 new cases and a total of 133,411 cases.

It was also reported that four provinces reported the addition of new cases under 100, namely Gorontalo 99 cases, Southeast Sulawesi 90 cases, Maluku 42 cases, and North Maluku 36 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an increase of 8,120 cases. Then, followed by Central Java 6,863 cases recovered, East Java 4,275 cases, DI Yogyakarta 3,378, East Kalimantan 3,378, East Nusa Tenggara 1,515, and DKI Jakarta 1,334.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined per day is 210,815. Meanwhile, cumulatively it reached 28,586,360. As for the details, 21,370,689 were examined by RT-PCR, 218,221 by the TMC method, and 6,997,450 antigens were examined.

"For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases, it is recorded at 286,417 people", he said.

Then, the weekly positivity rate for people from August 1 to 7, 2021 is 23.78 percent. While the daily positivity rate is 22.61 percent.

Currently, the number of people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination has increased by 510,373 people and the total has reached 51,705,924 people, and the second dose of vaccination is 541,720 people, the cumulative total is 25,439,300 people. Meanwhile, the vaccination target reached 208,256,720 people.
