Hit By High Waves, Marbella Anyer Beach Tourists Experience A Broken Back

JAKARTA - Coastal tourists in Marbella Anyer had a sea accident due to high waves. Luckily the joint evacuation team moved quickly to rescue

"The tourist who had a sea accident named Youngky Nuralamsyah (44) is a resident of Tangerang Regency," explained Banten Basarnas Public Relations Officer Sito Warsito quoting Antara, Sunday, August 8.

Youngky had a sea accident at 10.30 western Indonesia time, when he was swimming around the coast of Marbella Anyer Beach.

Youngky said, not long after the victim was hit by high waves and dragged into the middle of the sea.

Knowing that a tourist had an accident, the Serang Regency BPBD immediately reported the incident to the Banten Basarnas.

Quickly a joint rescue team consisting of the Banten Basarnas, Serang Regency BPBD, Anyer Police, Anyer Koramil, Banten Polairud, Balawista, Lifeguard, and local fishermen rescued Youngky.

"We together with a joint team quickly moved to evacuate victims and could be saved with a broken spine," he explained. Meanwhile, the Lifeguard BPBD of Serang Regency, Nana, reminded tourists not to swim around Anyer Beach because the couple was in the middle with relatively high waves.

"We urge tourists not to swim in order to prevent marine accidents," he said.
