Babel Residents Allowed Marriage Contracts In Mosques During PPKM Level 4

JAKARTA - The Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands, Erzaldi Rosman Djohan, said that residents may carry out the marriage contract at the mosque during the implementation of Level 4 and 3 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in the area.

"It is possible to carry out the marriage contract at the mosque, but it must refer to the health protocol," said Erzaldi Rosman Djohan in a press statement quoted by Antara, Saturday, August 7.

He said during this COVID-19 pandemic, people must continue to adhere to health protocols. Determining the success of handling COVID-19 is community discipline in implementing health protocols. Moreover, the government is currently implementing PPKM level 3 and level 4 to suppress the increasing cases of corona virus transmission.

"Please the couples who are getting married do the contract at the mosque, but it must be in accordance with applicable regulations, which is to be attended by a maximum of nuclear family or 25 percent of the room's capacity with strict health protocols, and they are not allowed to eat on the spot," he said.

According to him, in carrying out this marriage contract, the families of the couple who will get married must coordinate with the COVID-19 Handling Task Force in the local area.

"If a marriage contract procession is found in a mosque that violates the prokes, of course the task force officers will dissolve it and this action is to prevent the transmission of the corona virus," he said.

To ensure the implementation of prokes in the marriage contract at the mosque, the Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands on Friday monitored and witnessed the marriage contract of one of the couples at the Baiturrohim Pangkalpinang Mosque.

On that occasion, the Governor of Babel, who is famous for being unpretentious, appreciated the implementation of the marriage contract because it referred to the Covid-19 prevention health protocol.

Not to forget, the Governor also congratulated the prospective bride and groom who today carried out the marriage contract. He hopes that in their new life, the bride and groom will become a sakinah, mawaddah wa rahmah family.
