Transjakarta Adjusts Operational Pattern Starting Today

JAKARTA - PT Transportation Jakarta has adjusted the number of Transjakarta bus fleets operated during the extension of PPKM Level 4 starting today until August 9.

"To optimize the achievement of PPKM as an effort to reduce the level of transmission of COVID-19, Transjakarta as a BUMD that is engaged in the transportation sector needs to play more roles to further reduce community mobility," said Operational Director of PT Transport Jakarta Prasetia Budi in a statement, Wednesday, August 4.

Prasetia said the adjustment to the number of fleets operated applies to all Transjakarta services. Microtrans services are limited to 50 percent of the total fleet.

Furthermore, for the departure time or headway, all Transjakarta services will serve customers every 5 minutes and services in flats every 30 minutes. With this adjustment, Prasetia hopes that customers can adjust and manage their departure schedules well.

"For that, customers can use the TIJE application to see the presence and schedule of bus arrivals in real time," he said.

Furthermore, Transjakarta also continues to limit the customer capacity, which is a maximum of 50 percent with the provision that articulated buses can only be filled with a maximum of 60 customers, medium buses a maximum of 30 customers, small buses a maximum of 15 customers and 5 (five) customers for small buses.

"To suppress the spread of the COVID-19 virus, especially in the Transjakarta area, we urge customers to jointly comply with all applicable regulations," said Prasetia.
