Dozens Of Tourists Are Desperate To Enter Tourist Attractions In Gunungkidul

GUNUNGKIDUL - Dozens of tourists are desperate to enter tourist attractions in the Wediombo Beach Area, Girisubo District, Gunung Kidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, even though there have been temporary closure regulations.

The SAR Coordinator of the DIY Satlinmas Region I, Sunu Handoko, in Gunung Kidul, on Sunday, said that based on the report of the SAR officers of the DIY Satlinmas Region I patrolling, they found dozens of visitors to Wediombo Beach.

"Those caught traveling on Wediombo Beach are immediately asked to return to their respective areas," said Sunu, quoted by Antara, Sunday, August 1.

He said tourists who enter Wediombo Beach come in the middle of the night or early morning to fool the officers. On Saturday (31/7) ten two-wheeled vehicles, one travel and one four-wheeled vehicle entered Wediombo Beach. In total there are about 31 visitors who enter the tourist area.

Then, on Sunday morning at around 01.00 WIB, there were seven groups of motorbike riders who had approached the Wediombo parking lot. However, this visitor was successfully driven away by members of the SAR during high-wave monitoring patrols. There are also those who come at 04.30 WIB.

As for travel, arrival at 05.00 WIB. These hours are used because the TPR has not been maintained.

"We ask you to be patient because during PPKM, tourist areas are still closed. Later, when they are open, please go to the beach," said Sunu.

Sunu said to prevent tourists from entering the tourist area, apart from the retribution collection point officers, there were also four SAR members who were alerted. However, security is not carried out for 24 hours so that some are desperate to enter, especially in the early hours of the morning

"On Sunday afternoon there were also those who tried to enter the tourist area. However, the arrival of these visitors could be prevented at the entrance to the TPR. But I can't give details yet. But there were and were immediately asked to go back," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the Gunung Kidul Tourism Office, Harry Sukomono, said that during PPKM level four, all tourist areas in Gunung Kidul were temporarily closed. This policy is carried out to support the reduction in the rate of the spread of COVID-19

Regarding the entry of tourists to the beach in Gunung Kidul, his party has collaborated with the Satlinmas SAR in Gunung Kidul. "They will act according to the procedures that have been set, namely to dispel tourists who come," he said.
