57 COVID-19 Patients Undergo Isolation At The Haji Sudiang Makassar Dormitory

MAKASSAR - A total of 57 COVID-19 patients were recorded as undergoing quarantine in an integrated isolation facility provided by the South Sulawesi Provincial Government at Haji Sudiang Dormitory, Makassar City.

"Since it opened, 57 patients have entered and remained under the control of Labuang Baji Hospital," said Acting Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman, quoted by Antara, Sunday, August 1.

The Integrated Isolation Facility (FIT) at the Haji Sudiang Dormitory is provided for COVID-19 patients with no symptoms (OTG) and mild symptoms.

Andi Sudirman said that at the integrated isolation facility, patients with coronavirus infection could undergo quarantine under the supervision of doctors and health workers from provincial hospitals.

"The services and emergency cases (handling emergency cases) are under the control of experienced provincial hospital doctors. We hope that patients receive good service and are under control," he said.

During isolation, COVID-19 patients also receive food, drink, and vitamins and can take advantage of available sports and entertainment facilities.

"This facility is open to the public and free of charge for all residents who are confirmed positive (infected with COVID-19), without ethnic, religious, and racial barriers, as well as immigrants," he said.

Andi Sudirman hopes that the district and city governments will also provide additional isolation facilities for COVID-19 patients.

"To open an integrated hospital facility, extended self-isolation rooms for residents who are confirmed positive for COVID-19 by preparing FIT," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the South Sulawesi COVID-19 Task Force, Arman Bausat, said residents who were exposed to COVID-19 could undergo quarantine in integrated isolation facilities provided by the government.

He said patients who wish to undergo quarantine in an integrated isolation facility can register through the Hallo Dokter service at 0811466465 or the hallodokter.sulselprov.go.id website.

"If anyone wants to self-isolate at the FIT, the only requirement is to attach proof of the PCR swab test result that states positive for COVID-19," he said.

Patients do not need to bring a certificate from the Health Office to undergo quarantine at the Haji Sudiang FIT Dormitory.
