Deputy Governor Ariza Reminds The Importance Of Health Socialization During Pandemic

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Province, Ahmad Riza Patria, reminded that health education and socialization play an important role in handling the COVID-19 pandemic. Considering a pandemic like this has never happened at least in the last 100 years.

Therefore, according to Ariza, all levels of society, especially in the capital city of Jakarta, really need a lot of education from health experts and epidemiologists. So that the various bad effects of this pandemic outbreak can be minimized.

"During this pandemic, consciously or not, we have actually received various health counseling from experts. Among other things, such as implementing 3M, as a powerful way to break the chain of transmission of the Coronavirus in the community, namely by keeping distance, wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining good health. Now, it has even grown to 5 M by adding calls to avoid crowds, and limiting mobilization", said Deputy Governor Ariza in the Jakarta BKOW Webinar, Saturday, July 30 morning.

Ariza assessed that currently what we are facing is not only a pandemic but also an infodemic. That is the amount of false information or hoaxes that are widely scattered during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Health socialization regarding how to prevent COVID-19 and the management of corpses as will be given at this seminar is very important to be given to the community. Even with limitations, it must still be carried out. And one way is to take advantage of technological advances, for example through online discussions or creativity on social media", he said.

Ariza also reminded about the importance of implementing health protocols in a disciplined manner in people's daily lives. He hopes that other organizations and communities in the capital city of Jakarta can carry out various positive activities, collaborate in controlling the outbreak, among others by participating in organizing health education and socialization activities and government policies related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I hope that organizations (also those) under the BKOW umbrella continue to promote the dissemination of valid and positive information on government policies in breaking the chain of COVID-19 spread. Keep moving with all the potential that exists", he hoped.

"Hopefully all of us will always be given strength and health to face this test. Hopefully, this pandemic will end soon, so we can carry out our activities as usual. Amen", concluded Deputy Governor Ariza.
