School Holidays, 13 Students Arrested By Police For Brawl In Jelambar

JAKARTA - A number of students took advantage of the celebration of the 2024 Nataru holiday to carry out brawls in the Jelambar area, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta.

However, this effort was successfully disbanded by the Precision Pioneer Patrol Team (TP3) of the West Jakarta Metro Police. The police managed to arrest 13 students who were involved in the brawl.

The arrests of the 13 brawlers began with reports from residents to Ipda Puji, a member of the Precision Pioneer Patrol Team (TP3) of the West Jakarta Metro Police.

From the report, it was stated that there was a brawl on Jalan Jelambar Utama, RT 02/04, Jelambar Baru, Grogol Petamburan. Without delaying time, the TP3 Team immediately headed to the location.

"When we arrived at the location, we found a group of teenagers involved in a brawl. We immediately tried to stop their actions and managed to secure 13 teenagers," said West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Samapta, AKBP M Hari Agung when confirmed, Sunday, December 29.

In this security, officers found a number of evidences in the form of 4 sickle blades, 2 corbek blades, and 1 golf club.

"The evidence was secured not on him, found near the location. However, it is strongly suspected that it was used for brawls," he said.

For further processing, 13 students were taken to the Grogol Petamburan Police along with evidence of sharp weapons.

"We hope this action will have a deterrent effect on the perpetrators," he said.

The police also appealed to parents to pay more attention to their children's activities, especially at night.
