Bobby Nasution Ensures Readiness Of Ex-Soechi Medan Hotel To Serve Isolation Of OTG COVID-19 Patients

MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution ensured the readiness of facilities and human resources (HR) at the former Soechi Hotel to start accepting residents who tested positive for COVID-19 for the category of people without symptoms.

"Starting tomorrow, all human resources, nurses, medical personnel and medical equipment have entered," said Bobby Nasution, quoted by Antara, Friday, July 30.

Bobby Nasution said that the ex-Hotel Soechi is planned to be officially used for the treatment of OTG patients starting Sunday, August 1.

"Hopefully this Sunday the ex-Hotel Soechi can be opened," he said.

This isolation place will later be designated for COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms and the OTG category so that the isolation process is more closely monitored.

Bobby Nasution said COVID-19 patients in the OTG category had a higher risk of transmitting COVID-19.

"Because this OTG actually spreads COVID-19 is higher than those with symptoms. Because those with symptoms already understand their body condition so they just stay at home," he said.

The latest data from the COVID-19 Task Force noted that the number of positive COVID-19 patients in the city of Medan reached 27,801 people, after the addition of 584 people on July 30, 2021. The recovery rate reached 20,614 people and the death rate reached 679 people.
