DENPASAR - Danish citizen Niklas Pihl Madsen (31) was deported from Bali. This Danish Caucasian is depressed about losing his passport and making Sanur residents restless.

Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) Bali Jamaruli Manihuruk said the Danish foreigner was deported from Bali through Soekarno-Hatta Airport, on Tuesday, July 27 in the morning.

"The Danish citizen was given immigration administrative action in the form of deportation and deterrence", said Jamaruli, in Denpasar, Bali.

Deportation according to the rules in Article 75 paragraph (2) letter (a) and (f) of Law Number 6, 2011 concerning Immigration. Danish Caucasians were declared to have violated Article 78 Paragraph (3) of the Immigration Law relating to a residence permit that had expired.

In addition, the Danish Caucasians are disturbing the people in the Sanur area, Denpasar, Bali, because they are experiencing severe depression and lost their passports. The foreigner was treated at the Bangli Mental Hospital from June 16 to July 23.

"The person concerned, departed on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, using a Qatar Airways aircraft, with flight number QR 955 at 01:40 local time with the aim of Jakarta-Doha and flight number QR 159 with the aim of Doha- Copenhagen", added Jamaruli.

He emphasized that during the COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of the Java-Bali Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM), the Immigration Office at the Bali Ministry of Law and Human Rights will continue to monitor foreigners who are still in Bali.

"By synergizing with relevant agencies and not hesitate in giving sanctions to foreigners who violate them", said Jamaruli.
