Ganjar Asks Handling Of COVID-19 In Cilacap Not To Be Careless Even Though The Case Is Sloping

CILACAP - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo asked for the handling of COVID-19 in Cilacap Regency not to be careless, even though the case had been sloping.

"If you look at the data, the trend of cases is decreasing, but we must not be careless. Hopefully, the downward trend shows good indications, but I ask the hospital to continue to prepare the worst scenario, add more beds and so on, it has already been prepared", said Ganjar at Cilacap, quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 22.

Ganjar asked the Cilacap Regency Government and all regions in Central Java to ensure a decrease in cases from all indicators because if the case indicator declines, then testing and tracing of cases must be ensured.

"Don't let cases decrease because the tests are decreasing, that's okay. The tests must be added, the more 'testing' that is carried out, the better it will be to find out whether our people are healthy or not. increase, then this is really a sign of a decline", he said.

The Cilacap Regency Government is also encouraged that residents who are positive for COVID-19 undergo centralized isolation to facilitate the handling and monitoring of patients.

"If you are at home, you can later become a family cluster. This is what I continue to encourage", said Ganjar after visiting the mass vaccination site at the Dr. Soetomo Tennis Indoor Gymnasium and Cilacap Hospital.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Cilacap, Tatto Suwarto Pamuji, told Ganjar that his party had prepared worst-case scenarios in the event of an increase in cases.

"We have asked the hospital to add more beds, the scenarios have been prepared", he said.

Regarding the need for oxygen, his party continues to coordinate with the Oxygen Task Force so that the stock is guaranteed.
