JAKARTA - West Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Sub-dept. officers took action against 10 "rogue" companies that continued to operate during PPKM.

The action was carried out during unannounced inspections (sidak) in the field from July 3 to July 20.

"We have acted on all 10 of them. We will temporarily suspend activities," said Head of the Supervision Section of the West Jakarta City Transmigration Manpower Office, Tri Yuni Wanto, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 21.

According to Tri, the majority of companies that were acted upon by officers were not classified as essential and critical businesses and did not comply with health protocols.

The company is temporarily closed during the PPKM and if any place of business is still trying to open, a fine will be imposed.

"So far no one has been fined. Maybe if it is, let the Satpol PP cooperate," said Yuni.

Yuni admitted that the majority of the violating businesses were located in the Prepedan area, Kamal, Kalideres, West Jakarta.

"Because most home industries are mixed with people's houses," he said.

With this action, Yuni hopes that entrepreneurs who do not fall into the essential and critical category comply with PPKM regulations.

"If we don't take action, we will make an inspection note so we don't repeat the act," said Yuni.
