JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan admitted that in the past few weeks many residents have lined up to be able to get an isolation room or a special ICU for COVID-19.
Based on the data collected, 1,900 residents are waiting to enter the emergency room, down to the hospital hallway. Then, 1,400 residents are waiting at the Public Health Center and their homes to be able to get an isolation room.
"So during the past few weeks, many people have come to the hospital but the hospital is in a full position due to the limited capacity", said Anies when met at the Monas area, Monday, July 19.
Therefore, Anies said the government continues to add isolation rooms such as Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory and flats.
So that residents who are self-isolating due to COVID-19 because they have not received centralized isolation facilities can be monitored, Anies suggested that they report to the head of the RT-RW (Citizens Association) and the local COVID-19 Task Force.
"We have also assigned the village head, subdistrict head to identify all people in their area who are self-isolating so that their basic needs are met, their medical needs are met", said Anies.

Anies also advised residents who were in isolation to take advantage of the telemedicine facilities provided by the government to get free medicine. Anies also prepared a companion at the regional level to assist in the implementation of self-isolation.
"We assigned the ranks to help residents who cannot use digital devices for medical consultations because all consultations use digital tools, some of the community cannot, so there is assistance to help with that", he explained.
For your information, referring to data from the DKI Jakarta Health Office as of July 17, the BOR (bed occupancy ratio) level at 140 Jakarta referral hospitals is still quite high.

Meanwhile, the ICU occupancy rate has reached 94 percent. The DKI Health Office noted that out of a total of 1,546 ICUs, 1,447 had been filled.
