Social Assistance Recipients In Southeast Minahasa Must Show Vaccine Card

MINAHASA TENGGARA - The district government (Pemkab) of Southeast Minahasa, North Sulawesi has begun to require every community who receives social assistance (Bansos) from the government to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

"We require people who receive social assistance from the government to be vaccinated and show vaccine cards when receiving assistance," said Head of the Southeast Minahasa District Social Service Franky Wowor in Ratahan, quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 15.

The implementation will be intended for people who receive social assistance from the central government and from the district government.

"This applies to recipients of PKH, recipients of basic food programs or (BPNT) and recipients of BST and so on, which are distributed through Social Services," he said.

This, he said, had been socialized by the Social Service assisted by the sub-district and village and sub-district governments to the community.

"We have also ordered the assistant officers to monitor the process of distributing this social assistance, so that the people who receive the assistance have actually been vaccinated," he said.

Franky also appealed to the public to immediately vaccinate at the Puskesmas so as not to interfere with the process of distributing social assistance.

"If we haven't been vaccinated, we apologize, the assistance will be postponed," he said.
