Not Only Adding Emergency PPKM Blocking Points, The Policy Creates Another New Blocking Hour Scheme

JAKARTA - Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said there were two shifts implemented in the blocking scheme during the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) period.

The first shift is 06.00-10.00 WIB. In the future, only people who work in essential, critical, and health workers will cross the barrier point.

"We will divide from 6 to 10," Sambodo told reporters, Wednesday, July 14.

Then, the second shift is from 10.00 WIB to 22.00 WIB. In this shift, no one is allowed to cross the barrier point.

With the exception of health workers with emergency conditions. In addition, essential and critical sector workers are allowed to return to their respective homes.

"We will close from 10 am to 10 pm. This means that members are no longer arguing, we only check for emergency medical personnel and then we allow them to pass," he said.

Meanwhile, between 22.00 and 06.00 WIB, officers may no longer conduct inspections at the isolation location. Because, it is estimated that the road conditions are already devoid of mobility.

"At 22.00-06.00 WIB, because the traffic flow was quiet, then our insulation was removed," said Sambodo.

On the other hand, in the implementation of this new scheme around 1,649 personnel will be deployed. The thousands of personnel consisted of 359 Traffic personnel, 348 Shabara personnel, 310 Brimob personnel, 360 TNI personnel, and 276 personnel from the Regional Government.

"The total required to perform one shift sealing is 1,649 personnel," said Sambodo.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya decided to add blocking points in all areas of Jakarta and its surroundings. In total, it reaches 100 blocking points.

The hundreds of blocking points are spread over a number of roads. Starting from arterial roads, border areas, to toll roads.

"In the city there are 19 points, 15 points on the toll road, 10 points in the city limits, 29 points in the buffer zone, and 27 points on the Sudirman-Thamrin road for a total of 100 points," Sambodo explained.
