CIBINONG - The Bogor Regency COVID-19 Task Force, West Java, immediately added a special public cemetery (TPU) for COVID-19 patients due to the high mortality rate of patients who were confirmed positive.

"The plan is to add 10 locations (TPU) to 15 TPU," said Bogor Regency Housing, Settlement and Land Agency (DPKPP) Secretary, Lestia Irmawati, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, July 13.

Within 10 days from July 1-10 2021, there were 308 bodies buried with the COVID-19 health protocol procedures at the 10 TPUs.

Irma said that the 10 TPU specifically for COVID-19 patients owned by the Bogor Regency Government were Pondok Rajeg TPU, Tajurhalang TPU, Ciomas TPU, Cicadas TPU, Cipenjo TPU, Singasari TPU, Jabonmekar TPU, Rancabungur TPU, Galuga TPU, and Gorowong TPU. .

According to him, there are five additional locations that have the potential to become special TPU for the bodies of COVID-19 patients. The five are spread across the Cileungsi, Klapanunggal, Rancabungur, Citeureup and Babakanmadang sub-districts.

"Because in Cibinong (TPU) Pondok Rajeg is starting to fill up. So we will add another location. TPU Jatisari (Cileungsi) is ready. In Babakanmadang and Citeureup, it is just a matter of confirming what the conditions in the field are like.

In addition, the Bogor Regency DPKPP has also established a special burial for the bodies of COVID-19 patients.

"So that the curing process is in accordance with the procedures and the team has been trained," he said.
