PONTIANAK - The Governor of West Kalimantan, Sutarmidji, will revoke the oxygen distribution company's license if selling oxygen does not prioritize hospitals in West Kalimantan during the implementation of Emergency Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM).

"We have made every effort to ensure that it does not break up, and we will also monitor if oxygen distributors are found unable to provide supplies to hospitals during Emergency PPKM but are sold to the industry due to price differences, then we will withdraw and break the cooperation. If necessary, they (oxygen distributor) we will report", said Sutarmidji, quoted by Antara, Monday, July 12.

Sutarmidji, who is familiarly called Bang Midji, said the West Kalimantan Provincial Government had recorded the addition of an oxygen tank trainer or ISO Tank containing oxygen for needs in the West Kalimantan area.

"Today there is an ISO Tank that has arrived, it can be used for 2,200 oxygen cylinders per six meters, and I have ordered all hospitals and we are ready to pay immediately. For hospitals, Soedarso only needs 300-400 tubes per day, not to mention other hospitals, so we will closely monitor the distribution of oxygen in West Kalimantan, don't play games", he said.

Bang Midji asked any hospital in West Kalimantan to seriously treat patients exposed to COVID-19. Because he received data and reports from the public, several patients were referred from the original hospital to another referral hospital, the patient died.

Sutarmidji hopes that no more COVID-19 patients will die because of this.

"Based on data and reports, some of the patients who died in the hospital were transferred from the patient's initial hospital. Many also died in the ER at the referral hospital, why if the transfer was severe, especially if you were already using oxygen cylinders, it is better not to move it, that's dangerous”, continued Bang Midji.

According to him, if a patient who has used an oxygen cylinder is only two minutes late, the saturation can immediately drop drastically, making it very dangerous for the patient.

Meanwhile, Commander of Military Command XII/Tpr, Maj. Gen. TNI Muhammad Nur Rahmad confirmed that he had strengthened the Military District Commander 1207/BS covering the Pontianak City and Kubu Raya districts.

"As for Central Kalimantan, there are the Palangka Raya Military District Commander, the Lamandau Military District Commander, and the Sukamara Military District Commander. Everything has been conveyed today. Hopefully, everything will go well so that until July 20 it can be controlled and we hope to return to regular Micro PPKM again", he said.
