Held Party During Emergency PPKM, Orbit Bali Eat and Dance Was Sealed

BADUNG - Badung Police, Bali sealed the entertainment venue Orbit Bali Eat and Dance allegedly for holding a party during the implementation of Emergency PPKM.

"So following up on public information that there was a party at Orbit Bali Eat and Dance uploaded to an Instagram social media account entitled Turn Up Saturday 10 July 2021, the protocol applied to keep it secret at 16.00 central Indonesia time," said Badung Police Chief, Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Roby Septiadi quoted by Antara, Sunday, 11 July.

He explained that the location of the alleged celebration of the party was on Petitenget street, No. 7A Umalas Kangin neighborhood, Kerobokan Kelod Village, North Kuta District, Badung Regency.

After checking, one of the management on behalf of Gilang Try Guntoro conveyed to the officers that there were no party activities and only trying drinks.

"Then the officer immediately asked (to the management) who uploaded the information on social media, and the management admitted no and asked the manager regarding the upload," he said.

The police chief explained that after checking the CCTV footage at Orbit Bali Eat and Dance on Saturday (10/07) from 16.20 central Indonesia time, it was observed that visitors began to arrive.

"From 16.20 central Indonesia time, it was true that it was observed that visitors began to arrive without directly holding private parties held in special rooms without lighting and not being recorded on CCTV," he said.

At around 17.10 central Indonesia time, all rooms were checked and it turned out that 11 male and female visitors were found.

The person in charge and the 11 visitors were immediately taken to the North Kuta Police for further questioning and summoned the manager.

There is also an article that is suspected of violating the Java and Bali Emergency PPKM, namely Article 14 of Law no. 4 of 1984 concerning Outbreaks of Infectious Diseases, Article 93 of Law no. 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine, and Domestic Instruction No. 15 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Restrictions on Emergency Community Activities for Corona Virus Disease 2021 for the Java and Bali Regions.
