Minister Tito Karnavian Issues Inmandgri Number 19-20 Regarding Emergency PPKM

JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian has again issued two Instructions from the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri), namely Numbers 19 and 20 of 2021 concerning Emergency and Micro PPKM. Two copies of the Ministry of Home Affairs were signed by Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian on 9 July 2021.

The Minister of Home Affairs 19 of 2021 contains a partial revision of the third dictum of the Minister of Home Affairs number 15 of 2021 regarding the implementation of emergency community activity restrictions (PPKM).

The dictums of the three guruf g and k are changed to places of worship (mosques, prayer rooms, churches, temples, monasteries, and pagodas as well as other places that functioned as places of worship), not holding congregational worship/religious activities during the implementation of emergency PPKM and optimizing worship at home.

Then, in rule k, it was revised to the implementation of wedding receptions being abolished during the implementation of emergency PPKM.

"It means this, (the revision is so that) the masses do not gather at the same time, either in mosques, churches or other places of worship. Receptions too. But sometimes mosques are places of worship that are also used for village COVID-19 Task Forces/or vaccines or others," said Director General of Regional Administration Development Syafrizal when contacted by Antara, Saturday, July 10.

Then, Inmendagri 20 of 2021 is an amendment to Inmendagri 17 of 2021 regarding the implementation of micro-based community activity restrictions (PPKM), which apply outside Java and Bali.

The latest Inmendagri contains an increase in PPKM status for a number of areas that are declared level 4 zones in an emergency condition. These areas no longer implement micro PPKM but become emergency PPKM.

"Regulation for the area as referred to in the first dictum letter c) 1, an emergency PPKM is applied," reads the excerpt of the second dictum of the Minister of Home Affairs 20 of 2021.

The regencies where the emergency PPKM was applied are the City of Medan Evidence High, Padang, Padang Panjang, Batam and Tanjung Pinang, Bandar Lampung, Pontianak and Singkawang,

Then, Berau Regency, Balikpapan City, Bontang, Mataram, Manokwari Regency, and Sorong City. In addition, there are also a number of regions that fall into the level 4 category under tightened conditions.
