Cirebon Regent's Hall Temporarily Closed After 8 Employees Tested Positive For COVID-19

CIREBON - Activities at the Cirebon Regent's Pendopo, West Java were temporarily closed after eight employees on duty in the area tested positive for COVID-19.

Cirebon Regent Imron said that three days ago he had indeed received an official's guest. It turned out that the official tested positive for COVID-19.

"Then last Thursday I took the initiative to conduct a swab test with several employees," he said in Cirebon as reported by Antara, Saturday, July 10.

The swab test results for him and his family were found to be negative. However, one of the employees tested positive for COVID-19. Based on these results, he then asked all employees who served at the pavilion such as patwal and others to take a swab test on Friday, July 9 yesterday.

"As a result, seven employees tested positive, so a total of eight were positive for COVID-19," he said.

According to him, with many employees who were confirmed positive for COVID-19, he asked for activities at the pavilion to be temporarily closed until conditions were safe.

He also asked the guests who were planning to have a gathering with him to rearrange their schedule because he was worried that the guests would be exposed.

Imron has not confirmed how long the pavilion will be closed. But if it has to be up to 14 days, it means that it will arrive at Eid al-Adha.

Imron also asked the public to follow the health protocol, because according to him, this was not only good for oneself, but also for others.

"So that their families and colleagues do not contract COVID-19. Meanwhile, eight employees who are positive will undergo self-isolation in one of the rooms in the Pendopo," he said.
