Sleeping Truck Driver Robbery, Three Perpetrators Arrested By Police

JAKARTA - Three perpetrators of theft while in action to rob a truck driver near the Lenteng Agung 2 Toll Gate on Saturday, July 9, early in the morning at around 02.30 WIB, were arrested by members of the Traffic Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya.

"In total, there were four perpetrators of the robbery, only three were arrested, one escaped," said Head of the Highway Patrol Unit of the Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Police Kompol Sutikno in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday, July 9.

Sutikno explained that the arrests were made by security officers who were on guard around the scene.

Then, the security officers reported to the police, who were immediately followed up by the personnel of the PJR Unit of the Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Police by visiting the location of the arrest.

The personnel of the PJR Unit DItlantas Polda Metro Jaya interrogated the three robbers with the initials IR, RY, and JA, and then brought them to the Cilandak Police Station for further processing. "The case has been transferred to the Cilandak Police," he added.

Based on the information gathered by the gang of robbers against the truck, they used a car and targeted the valuables belonging to the sleeping truck driver.

One of the perpetrators who fled is known to have taken away money and stolen goods. In addition to arresting the three perpetrators, the police also confiscated the car used by this truck gang when they were in action.
