PPK For The CCTV Project Of The Binjai North Sumatra Dishub Becomes A Suspect In Hundreds Of Millions Of Corruption

MEDAN - The Binjai District Prosecutor's Office (Kejari) has named a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of the CCTV project of the Transportation Agency of Binjai City, North Sumatra. The suspect is the official commitment maker (PPK) in the project.

Kasipenkum North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office, Sumangar Siagian, stated that the determination of the suspect's status was under the authority of the Binjai Kejari, which is currently investigating the CCTV project case that was detrimental to the country's finances.

"The determination of the suspect was carried out by the Binjai Kejari on Tuesday (7/7)," said Sumanggar, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 7.

Previously, the BPKP Representative for North Sumatra issued a calculation of state losses in the alleged corruption in the procurement of CCTV at the Binjai City Transportation Service.

Based on the calculation of the North Sumatra Representative's BPKP, the state's losses amounted to IDR 388 million.

During the investigation conducted by Kejar Binjai against PPK in the procurement of the CCTV project of the Binjai City Transportation Agency, it was considered not cooperative and never came to fulfill the summons of investigators.

The Binjai Kejari will summon the suspect with the initials J, PPK in the procurement of the CCTV project.
