Metro Police Chief Calls Blocking Effective To Repress Mobility, Evaluation Continues

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran claims the insulation scheme implemented is quite effective in suppressing community mobility. However, there was a buildup of vehicles at the blocking points.

"You can see on Google Mobile the daily index for the Jakarta area, from the first day of Emergency PPKM, there was a decline in community mobility," said Inspector General Fadil to reporters, Wednesday, July 7.

The reduction in community mobility is also not achieved by implementing a single scheme. Because, repeatedly have to conduct evaluations to then apply the solution.

In the end, improvements were made to the scheme that could suppress community mobility.

"That is none other than because we continue to conduct evaluations under the coordination of the Governor, us, and the Pangdam Jaya and the ranks have succeeded in breaking down congestion," he said.

However, Fadil does not deny that there are still people who stubbornly enter Jakarta. They do various ways to work even though they are in Emergency PPKM.

Therefore, evaluation and improvement of the scheme will continue to be carried out. Until later the target of reducing mobility which has an impact on reducing the spread of COVID-19 in Jakarta is achieved.

"Findings in the field, there are still people who make movements. We continue to improve this movement. Hopefully, we can reduce this movement," said Fadil.
