During Emergency PPKM Blocking, Many People Against Officers

JAKARTA - The police said that many people fought against officers when they were asked to turn back at the isolation location during the Implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). However, so far no action has been taken.

"Yes, at every point (blockage) there is. But we will continue to serve in a persuasive, patient, and humane way," said Traffic Director of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Monday, July 5.

A new preventive step will be taken if there are people who do not hear three warnings from the officers. Prosecution can also be carried out in accordance with the law.

"Unless those who are really annoying and have been warned by the officers 3 times. So, based on the law, we can take action against the person concerned for fighting the officer," said Sambodo.

However, so far no one has been prosecuted. All people can still be directed to turn back their vehicles.

"Everything is reversed. Indeed, we are only turning it around, we urge him to come back," said Sambodo.
