JAKARTA - The Chairman of the Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS) Fraction, Mardani Ali Sera, appreciated the survey results released by the Voxpol Center Research and Consulting on Saturday, July 3, which placed his party in third place in the electability of political parties after Gerindra and PDIP.

"We are grateful, after Gerindra, PKS number 3. For us this is very high", said Mardani, Sunday, July 4.

The survey results, Mardani claims, did not make PKS complacent. However, his party will track or examine the voters of the party chaired by Ahmad Syaikhu.

"This is not to be arrogant, but we will see again with cross-check who voted for us, where and what background because this is expensive", he said.

According to the legislator for the DKI Jakarta electoral district, the internal figures of political parties will determine the party's electability. For example, Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno who boosted the electability of the Gerindra Party.

Therefore, continued Mardani, PKS also encouraged the Chairman of the PKS Shura Council, Salim Segaf Al Jufri, to stand out as one of the presidential candidates.

"PKS has determined, God willing, the Chairman of the Syuro Council, Salim Segaf, to be more prominent because he is aware of the figures", he said.

However, Mardani said that the matter of presidential candidates is still very dynamic because new names will be clear in 2-3 years.

"Therefore, there is still a very big chance for leaders of political parties or champions of political parties or regional heads or ministers to come to the surface", explained the member of House of Representatives Commission II.

Moreover, he added, to determine the presidential candidates and vice presidential candidates, there is a presidential threshold or the threshold for nominations for the presidential election of 20 percent of the House of Representatives seats. So, the political party as the seat owner will be very decisive.

"So, whoever has great popularity but doesn't play on stage because he doesn't have a ticket, he will be eliminated immediately", said Mardani.

Previously, the Voxpol Center survey results put PKS in third position after the Gerindra Party in the first place and the Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan Party (PDIP) in second.
