21 Train Travel Have Been Canceled During Emergency Community Activity Restrictions implementation

CIREBON - Public Relations Manager of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 3 Cirebon, West Java, Suprapto said that 21 medium- and long-distance trains crossing his working area had their trips canceled during the implementation of emergency community activity restrictions (PPKM).

"There were 21 medium and long-distance train trips that were canceled during the emergency PPKM", Suprapto said in Cirebon, quoted by Antara, Saturday, July 3.

The 21 canceled train trips were from various destinations, both from Jakarta to cities in Central Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta and vice versa.

A total of 21 trains that were canceled were Argo Sindoro, Argo Muria, Argo Cheribon, Argo Lawu, Solo Balapan-Gambir Supplementary Train, Brawijaya, Purwojaya, Additional Taksaka, and Singasari.

KAI Daop 3 Cirebon, continued Suprapto, adjusted the number of train operations to optimize emergency PPKM by reducing trips.

In addition, to create social distancing, KAI only sells tickets as much as 70 percent of the maximum seating capacity for long-distance trains.

"KAI Daop 3 Cirebon has always fully supported government policies in terms of preventing the spread of COVID-19. We hope that the public can continue to limit their mobility during the implementation of this emergency PPKM period", he said.

For prospective customers who have purchased tickets, but the train trip is canceled, the ticket fee will be refunded 100 percent.

Meanwhile, the cancellation process can be carried out up to D+30 from the date stated on the ticket at all stations serving ticket sales or the KAI contact center via WhatsApp KAI121 at 08111-2111-121.

"People who have purchased tickets will also be contacted by the 121 contact center regarding the ticket cancellation process", Suprapto said.
