JAKARTA - The government has decided to implement the Implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) on the islands of Java and Bali as an intervention measure to deal with COVID-19 in Indonesia.
The implementation of the Java-Bali Emergency PPKM is set for three weeks, from July 3 to 20. This policy will also be technically regulated in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs.
The Minister of Home Affairs, M Tito Karnavian said that his party was finalizing the Instruction implementation of the Java-Bali Emergency PPKM.
Before being ratified, the Ministry of Home Affairs will carry out an alignment first by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, as the Coordinator for the Implementation of the Java-Bali Emergency PPKM.
"This is finalization, we will convey it to the Coordinating Minister (Luhut, ed). If there is a correction we will fix it. God willing, today when it is finished we will share it with all regional heads", Tito said in a virtual press conference related to the implementation of Emergency PPKM, Thursday, July 1.
Tito appealed to all regional heads to build synergies with various elements of society, including the Regional leadership coordination forum in the realization of Emergency PPKM.
