Waiting For Jokowi To Approve Emergency PPKM

JAKARTA - Today, President Joko Widodo will announce the establishment of an emergency PPKM regulation to replace micro PPKM to ensure the handling of COVID-19.

Central and local government officials finalized the emergency PPKM regulation on Wednesday, June 30. Regarding the implementation time and how the regulations will be applied thoroughly, the Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force, Wiku Adisasmito, said that until now there has been no official decision.

"Just waiting for the official announcement. What is clear is that until now there has been no official announcement. I appeal to you to continue to apply health protocols and not to carry out mobility if you don't need to," said Wiku to VOI, Wednesday, June 30 evening.

Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan and Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartato each brought proposals regarding the rules for implementing emergency PPKM.

What is clear, it was decided that Luhut would lead the emergency PPKM in handling the pandemic in the provinces on the islands of Java and Bali. Meanwhile, Airlangga led the emergency PPKM outside Java and Bali.

Luhut proposed the emergency PPKM to be effective from July 3 to 20. Meanwhile, Airlangga proposed an emergency PPKM from July 2 to 20. However, all decisions are in Jokowi's hands.

Luhut's proposal

1. Office activities for the non-essential sector are required to implement 100 percent work from home (WFH).

2. Essential sector offices apply 50 percent WFH and critical sectors may work from 100 percent office.

3. All teaching and learning activities are carried out online.

4. Activities at shopping centers/malls/trade centers are closed.

5. Restaurants and restaurants only accept delivery/take away.

6. The implementation of construction activities may operate 100 percent.

7. Places of worship are temporarily closed.

8. Public facilities such as public areas, public parks, public tourist attractions, and other public areas are temporarily closed.

9. Cultural arts, sports, and social activities, such as art, culture, sports facilities, and social activities that can cause crowds and crowds are temporarily closed.

10. Public transportation such as mass transportation to conventional and online taxis is enforced with a maximum capacity setting of 70 percent.

11. The wedding reception was attended by a maximum of 30 people by implementing stricter health protocols and not allowed to eat at the reception.

12. Travelers who use long-distance transportation modes must show a vaccine card for at least the first dose of vaccine and H-2 PCR for aircraft as well as H-1 antigen for other long-distance transportation modes.

Airlangga's proposal

3. Learning activities in the red zone and orange zone are carried out online. While the other zones are according to the Ministry of Education and Culture.

4. Restaurants and restaurants can serve meals at a maximum of 25 percent and operating hours are limited until 17.00.

5. Shopping centers/malls operate until 17.00 with 25 percent capacity.

6. Construction activities operate 100 percent.

7. Worship activities in the red and orange zones will be temporarily suspended.

8. Activities in public areas in the red and orange zones are closed, while in other zones a maximum of 25 percent capacity.

9. Cultural and social art activities in the red zone are temporarily closed, in other zones at a maximum of 25 percent capacity and celebrations are prohibited from serving meals on the spot.

10. Meetings and seminars in the red and orange zones are temporarily closed, in other zones at most 25 percent capacity.

11. Public transportation can operate with the capacity and operating hours of each local government.
