Robbers Raid Police Houses In Medan, Senpi Is Also Stolen

MEDAN - A group of robbers raided a police house in Medan. This group stole one unit of official firearms belonging to Rudi, a member of Polairud.

The Head of the Medan Helvetia Police, Peace Commissioner Hutahaean accompanied by the Criminal Investigation Unit Head, Iptu Zuhatta Mahadi, said the theft occurred on Jalan Istiqomah, Gang Rukun, East Helvetia Village, Medan Helvetia District, Medan City.

The police then arrested 3 perpetrators, namely YAP (33), JH (32), and NR (38). Pardamean said the theft was discovered when the victim woke up hearing the noise of a motorbike.

"After the victim checked the condition of the house, the perpetrator took 1 black clothing bag containing official firearms (contained 15 rounds of ammunition), an empty magazine, a beret, and a charger along with a cellphone that the victim placed on the living room table", said Kompol Pardamean, Wednesday, June 30.

The victim immediately made a report to the Medan Helvetia Police. From here the police investigate the theft case.

The police identified the YAP perpetrators in Sunggal District. During the arrest process, the suspect YAP fought back by pointing the victim's firearm at the police. The perpetrator was shot.

"From the results of the interrogation, the suspect YAP admitted his actions. The YAP perpetrator provided information that another friend of the main perpetrator named JH aka Gelek was participating", he explained.

Furthermore, the police moved to hunt down the perpetrators of JH. From the information obtained by officers, JH is known to be on Istiqomah Street, Helvetia Timur Village.

"From the results of the interrogation with JH, the perpetrator admitted that he had left the bag with another perpetrator on behalf of NR. After the NR perpetrator was caught, the NR perpetrator admitted that he had received the bag from the YAP perpetrator," he said

The police secured 1 HS-type FN firearm along with 15 bullets, 2 screwdrivers, 1 knife. A motorbike, 1 handcuff, 1 Polairud beret, and 1 cellphone were also confiscated.

The perpetrators were charged with Article 363 paragraph 2 Jo 55.56 of the Criminal Code. "With the threat of 9 years in prison", said Pardamean.
