Added 16 People Per Day, Total COVID-19 In West Bangka 2,535 Cases

WEST BANGKA - COVID-19 cases in West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province as of Saturday, June 26, increased by 16 people. The total number of cases rose to 2,535 during the pandemic.

"The addition of 16 new cases is the result of an examination of residents who had close contact with the previous case and an antigen swab examination has been carried out with positive results", explained Spokesperson for the West Bangka Regency COVID-19 Task Force, M. Putra Kusuma in Mentok, Saturday.

A total of 16 new cases came from Mentok District 13 people, Jebus two people, and Kelapa one person, bringing the number of patients who are still required to undergo quarantine, treatment, and self-isolation to 96 people.

Today there was also an increase in the number of patients who were declared cured by three people, namely from Simpangteritip, Parittiga, and Tempilang, one person each.

With this addition, to date, of the 2,535 cases found, 2,404 patients have been declared cured, while 35 cases have died.

"We will continue to strengthen 3T activities, namely testing, tracing, and treatment as an early effort to control transmission", Putra added.

In addition, his party asked the public to comply with and discipline health protocols, namely wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility, as an effort to reduce the risk of contracting the virus.
