JAKARTA - Lawyer who is also a Golkar cadre, Rudy Alfonso, has also been proposed as a candidate for ambassador by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Rudy Alfonso was proposed to be the Indonesian Ambassador to Portugal.

"I have just been nominated. Hopefully, the trust of our President can contribute," said Rudy Alfonso to VOI, Friday, June 25 evening.

In addition to Rudy Alfonso, there are 32 names of potential ambassadors including Presidential Spokesperson Fadjroel Rachman to General Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) Rosan Roeslani.

In addition, there are also the names of former members of Jokowi's team during the 2019 presidential election, such as Zuhairi Misrawi and Lena Maryana Mukti.

"Any task for the state that President Joko Widodo has directed to me is a priceless gift. Because the task of the state is a noble task everywhere for the glory of the state and nation towards advanced Indonesia," he said when contacted by VOI, Friday, June 25.

Meanwhile, Commission I of the DPR is planned to hold a fit and proper test in July.

"We have scheduled a fit and proper test for the second week of July," said Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission I, Meutya Hafid, to reporters.
