Not Because Of The COVID-19 Vaccine, Badung Bali Resident Dies Of Stroke

DENPASAR - Chairman of the National Commission for Post-Immunization Adverse Events (KIPI) Prof. Hindra Irawan Satara confirmed that the cause of death of a resident of Badung, Bali, with the initials NW (49) a day after being vaccinated was not due to a vaccine. NW died of a congenital disease.

"The AEFI that occurred is not related to immunization, from the results of a joint audit between Komda KIPI Bali and Komnas KIPI concluded that the cause of death was stroke," said Hindra when contacted, Friday, June 25.

NW's cause of death in Badung Bali was conveyed directly to the family. Komnas KIPI hopes that there will be no more speculation about NW's death and at the same time asks the public not to worry about vaccination.

"If you have an AEFI after being vaccinated, you should immediately go to a doctor so that it can be treated or given treatment so that it does not end fatally," said Hindra.

Previously, the Head of the Bali COVID-19 Task Force, Dewa Made Indra, explained that a resident of Banjar Sukajati, Taman Village, Abiansemal, Badung with the initials NW died on Tuesday, June 15.

NW had participated in the COVID-19 vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine.

After the vaccine, NW complained of a fever and was taken to the health center and declared dead.
