TNI Commander And National Police Chief Alluded To Vaccination Targets Up To 2 Ways To Get Out Of The COVID-19 Pandemic

JAKARTA - TNI Commander, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, said vaccination in the Tanjung Priok Port area is targeted at 2,000 people per day. The goal is to accelerate the process of herd immunity for everyone active in the Tanjung Priok Port area.

This statement was made by Marshal Hadi after reviewing the vaccination process at Tanjung Priok Port together with the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

"Today's vaccination campaign by the TNI-Police will target 2,000 (people) and be carried out every day, including families and communities around the port", Hadi told reporters, Wednesday, June 23.

Marshal Hadi also explained that the vaccination had been going on for a week. The vaccination process is said to have reached 97 percent.

"For 7 days, the authorities have also carried out vaccinations targeting the Tanjung Priok Port area. All employees including supporters such as cranes, loading and unloading staff, and including their families. Of the 12 thousand employees themselves, 93 percent have done it", said Hadi

If the vaccination process does not experience obstacles, then the target of herd immunity will be achieved immediately. That way, automatic activities at the port that have an impact on the economy will run well.

"We will continue to carry out this activity in other places, specifically in ports including Tanjung Mas and Tanjung Perak that possible tomorrow we will carry out to protect all employees in the port area to avoid exposure to COVID-19", said Marshal Hadi.

"So, all shipping containers that come in or out can be smooth and controlled according to our expectations", Hadi continued.

Meanwhile, National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, said that several areas with economic influence were a priority in the vaccination process. Because this method can boost the Indonesian economy, which has fallen during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Currently, the points used for vaccination attacks are areas where there is high interaction, as stated by the Commander, port areas in Jakarta, Central Java, and East Java, as well as all ports in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, are priority areas", he said.

According to the National Police Chief, there are currently two ways that are being intensified to get Indonesia out of the pandemic. First, the vaccination process, and secondly the implementation of micro-community activity restrictions (PPKM).

"So we are currently doing two things, strengthening micro PPKM to prevent the growth rate of COVID-19 and secondly how to form a herd immunity group community. We are currently strengthening this", said General Sigit.
