Girls With Disabilities In Manado Rape By 8 Men In 3 Different Locations, The Victim Was Forced To Get Drunk First

SULAWESI - The Mobile Research Team of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the North Sulawesi Police arrested eight men who were involved in the sexual abuse of girls with disabilities. The perpetrators committed barbaric acts in 3 different locations.

The Head of Public Relations of the North Sulawesi Police, Kombes Jules Abraham Abast, said that the disclosure of the case was based on a report given by the public on May 22.

"The incident took place on May 19-20, 2021", said Abast accompanied by the Director of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Sulawesi Police, AKBP Gani Siahaan, as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 16.

The eight suspects of molestation were CH (34), SE (35), AEW (33), RNP (26), SW (39), ARR (36), ATB (25), and EP (33).

On May 19, 2021, at around 12.00 WITA, the victim was in the vicinity of the Public Elementary School and met one of the perpetrators, CH. At that time the victim was invited to take a walk using the perpetrator's vehicle.

Then the victim was taken to the garden in Kalasey. It was at this location that CH molested the victim and then took her to the Malalayang Terminal, Manado, at around 14.00 WITA.

At the terminal, the victim met SE, then the victim was invited by SE to one of the former workshops around Malalayang. There are SE friends who are drinking alcohol.

The victim was invited to drink alcohol so that she was drunk. At that time, the perpetrators took turns being molested.

Then the next day, one of the suspects, EP, took the victim to his aunt's house in Malalayang, which was the scene of the third incident. EP then releases his lecherous desire to the victim.

"After that, the victim went home, and was picked up by one of her family", said Abast.

Siahaan said that after receiving the police report, the Mobile Research Team was then divided to carry out investigations and seek information, and conduct crime scenes at the three locations.

On June 9, 2021, the police received information from the public about a post from one of the perpetrators on social media Facebook which shows the victim and the perpetrators at one of the crime scenes drinking alcohol and playing gambling.

"Based on the information, we arrested seven perpetrators in three places, respectively in Malalayang, South Minahasa, and Tareran. The perpetrators tried to escape, so we took firm and measured action", he said.

After the seven perpetrators were arrested, the eighth perpetrator finally surrendered.
