Bogor Council Chair Promotes Nationalism Through Red-and-White Parade

BOGOR - Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD Adityawarman Adil attended the Red and White Kirab in the 11th Red and White Festival (FMP) series to welcome the 81st Anniversary (HUT) of the Republic of Indonesia, Sunday, August 9.

The parade took place in a festive atmosphere by unfurling the Red and White flags along 500 meters which were paraded along a number of major roads in Bogor City, from Tugu Kujang to Pusdikzi.

The parade route starts from Tugu Kujang, then crosses Jalan Otto Iskandardinata, Jalan Ir. H. Juanda, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, and ends at Pusdikzi. The enthusiasm of the people was seen since 07.00 WIB with residents crowding a number of points to watch the Red and White flag parade live.

The atmosphere was enlivened by the appearance of the marching band accompanying the parade. The activity was also attended by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya, West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman, Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim, and a number of heads of regional apparatus organizations (OPD).

Adityawarman said the Red and White Kirab became a momentum to strengthen brotherhood and foster people's love for the nation and state.

"This morning we carried out the Red and White Kirab in the context of the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. Hopefully this activity can strengthen brotherhood, strengthen our love for the nation and the Republic of Indonesia," said Adityawarman.

According to him, the spirit of the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia needs to be maintained through activities that can strengthen community togetherness.

He also assessed that the Red and White Kirab can be a means to foster and strengthen the nationalistic spirit of the people of Bogor City.

"Indonesian spirit!" he said.

The Red and White Parade is one of the series of the 11th Red and White Festival as well as part of various activities to celebrate the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in Bogor City.

The enthusiasm of the residents in participating and watching the activities shows the spirit of community togetherness in welcoming the independence month while maintaining unity and love for the country.
