JAKARTA - The writer Toeti Heraty has passed away. Toeti died at the MMC Hospital in Jakarta at 05.10 WIB this morning.
Toeti died at the age of 87 due to illness. The plan is that the senior author will be buried at the TPU Karet Bivou this afternoon. Toeti's body is buried at home at Jalan Cemara Number 6 Menteng, Central Jakarta.
Toeti's death was revealed by former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Jimly Asshiddiqie.

For information, Toeti was born in Bandung, West Java on November 27, 1933. In 1979, Toeti graduated as a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Indonesia.
In 1994, Toeti received the title of Extraordinary Professor at the Faculty of Letters, University of Indonesia. In 1982-1985, Toeti became Chairman of the Jakarta Arts Council.
