JCI Closed Wednesday, Weakening 0.75 Percent To 4,554.36 Level

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed lower in trading on Wednesday, May 13. JCI closed down 0.75 percent or 34.38 points to the level of 4,554.36.

Closing the trade, 142 stocks rose, 246 stocks fell, and 149 stocks remained unchanged. The trading volume was recorded at 5.70 billion shares and was transacted at IDR 5.38 trillion.

The benchmark index is also the majority weaker today. The LQ45 index fell 1.06 percent, the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) fell 1.12 percent, and the IDX30 fell 0.87 percent.

The sector that experienced the deepest weakness today was the basic industrial sector, which fell 2.9 percent. Meanwhile, foreign investors recorded net sales of IDR772.98 billion.

This afternoon, stocks that were among the top gainers, including PT Bank BRIsyariah Tbk (BRIS) which rose 20.69 percent to Rp280, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Agroniaga Tbk (AGRO) which gained 10.81 percent to Rp123, and PT Soechi Lines Tbk (SOCI) which strengthened 6.92 percent to Rp139.

Meanwhile, stocks that are in the top losers ranks, including PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) which weakened 6.79 percent to Rp3,430, PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) which weakened 6.75 percent to Rp1. .175, and PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM) which fell 5.98 percent to IDR 4,560.
